This Sunday Pastor Aaron Lawless began a deeper look at Galatians, exploring what it means to belong to the family and kingdom of God. Through Paul’s teaching, we were reminded that God’s kingdom is made up of those who submit to His will, and that the gospel opens the door for both Jews and Gentiles to become part of His family through faith in Jesus Christ—not through circumcision or strict adherence to the law. We examined God’s purpose in calling Israel as His chosen people and how His promise to Abraham was always intended to bring blessing to all nations. Paul’s letter to the Galatians confronts the temptation to add human requirements to the gospel and shows us that the same grace that brings us into God’s family is what sustains our relationship with Him. Our faith is not about checking off a list of rules, but about trusting and following Jesus, who loved us and gave Himself for us. This message reminds us that: God’s kingdom is defined by surrender: We choose between pursuing our own will and submitting to God’s purposes. The gospel is for all people: Both Jews and Gentiles are welcomed into God’s family through faith in Jesus Christ. Grace cannot be replaced by the law: Our standing with God rests on Christ, not on our ability to earn righteousness through religious performance. The Christian life is about relationship: We follow Jesus because we trust Him and belong to Him, not simply because we are trying to obey a rulebook. Discernment matters: We must test what we hear against Scripture, the wisdom of our church community, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As we continue to grow in our understanding of the gospel, we are challenged to examine whether we are relying on religious rules and outward appearances or resting in the grace of God and following Christ with our whole hearts. Jesus did not give Himself for us in vain—He calls us into a living relationship with Him. Join us for worship, prayer, and a timely reminder that the gospel is not about earning our place in God’s family, but trusting the One who gave Himself for us. 📖 Key Scriptures: Galatians 1:1–5; Galatians 2:11–21; Genesis 12:1–3; John 4:23–24 🎵 Worship Songs: Your Love Never Fails, Yes and Amen, What a Beautiful Name, Revelation Song
