Pastor Aaron takes us through the temptation of Jesus in Matthew 4 and Luke 4. We take a look at the three temptations of Jesus which are common to us too. In Luke 4, Satan questions the identity of Jesus and His authority. We see Jesus refuse to operate independently apart from God the Father. In the next temptation, Satan tells Jesus he can have domionion over all the Earth; here Satan is appealing to pride. However Jesus knows only God is worthy of worship. IN the last temptation, Satan tells Jesus to throw himself off the wall of the temple. Jesus in His response to Satan shows there is nothing he can do to break the fellowship between Him and God the father. God is to be trusted, not tempted.
